I don't think everything you make is scheiSZe, just that your posts are, or tend to be.

So the "Response to an Anti-feminist developer 'FK YOU EVERYTHING YOU MAKE IS CRAP!'" is just pushing it.

Oh absolutly a troll, you figured it out!

I did not write "troll" anywhere in this thread.

So tell me, what do you develop?

http://dcc.ufmg.br/~lcerf/en/prototypes.html

But I do not see why me developing is any important here.

The rest of your post just deserves the silent -1. You got it.

I had seen that before, but wasn't sure if he was the same guy (now i know he is). He's definitely the same as vPro though.

I've heard about the "MikeeUSA" troll before, but never connected him to chaosesqueteam/vpro. Thanks for the info.

"I can almost (almost) guarantee you I've done more OSS development than you."

So? That doesn't weigh anything in the question of whether one is a troll. Linus Torvalds (assuming he's not you) can troll, can be called a troll, but that doesn't stop him from being the lead developer and starter of what in my opinion is history's greatest kernel (apart from the blobs).

When discussing whether you deserve a Nobel, your programming does weigh, but not when discussing the paragraphs you write and how polite they are (no, I'm not saying my comments are saint-esque).

In the same way that apples aren't pineapples, I didn't say that code contribs don't weigh on anything.

Anyway, I really doubt it takes even close to 100 posts to notice a troll.

There's a difference between "many" and "100". And what has my post got to do with the definiton of trolls? That I stated that it most probably takes <100 posts to notice one?

Very well, then.

You have a really bizarre definition of "troll".

Now, the only libre software contribution of yours that I'm aware of is Chaos Esque, which as far as I can tell is some sort of unfocused fork of Xonotic that is more resource-hungry and supposedly more realistic; I haven't seen any good reason to try it. In any case, sure, it's a worthwhile contribution to our community, even if, as I suspect, it focuses on the wrong things and isn't really worth trying.

But that has nothing to do with whether or not you are a troll. A troll is someone who says shocking things not because they actually believe it, but because they want to get people angry, or otherwise provoke an emotional reaction. A troll could be some drunk hobo at an Internet cafe, or it could be a famous person who has contributed greatly to something worthwhile, like Stephen Hawking. It doesn't matter. A troll is a troll. What they do other than trolling is irrelevant.

Even if you aren't a troll and you actually believe the insane bullshit you post, it's off-topic and doesn't deserve attention here.

I have no idea whether I've contributed more or less to libre software than you. It doesn't matter. You're still a troll.

This all smells a bit fishy, like a Gamergate-esque attempt to demonize anti-feminists by making them look unsavory and violent. I think there's more going on here than simple trolling, and I encourage the community to be wary. (As an aside, for those concerned that anti-feminists are woman-haters, perhaps you should listen to a few podcasts of Honey Badger Radio, which is hosted by a wonderful group of rational, intelligent women.)

I would very much like to hear more about the original topic, now. :)

Women are an enemy of men, thus preventing the reproduction of offspring-reproducing offsprings that evolution, or for that matter probably most of everything about creatures, seems to always try to lead itself to.

Yeeaah....seems about right.

A more valid sentence: Frankly if Linux is done there's still BSD's kernel - and the chaps over at the GNU project might even try to get Hurd to a decent state.

In that case we could just stay upstream......or should systemd go bonkers itself fork the last decent version of it.......

So you're assuming SystemV's developer(s) or Upstarts's developer(s) are anti egg-producing homo sapiens?

Can you even conform none of them went through menarche?

davidnotcoulthard (non vérifié)
davidnotcoulthard

So? What has that got to do with my post about your post about hating people who have/should've/will be going/gone through menarche?

Oh, and you're not using a still-supported version Trisquel, are you?

"Systemd is bonkers. You've allready lost"

This is not a competition so what have I lost (other than around 4 flash drives in a few years)?

And I can still fork the bloody thing.

davidnotcoulthard (non vérifié)
davidnotcoulthard

It isn't. The freedom to change (and replace, but that's not easy) it is worth more than 4 flash drives, though.

And we've still got that.

Chris:

Will the chip require linking with someone outside to work at all or is it just available for some shadow agency to access?

Can we just buy the desktop version and put it into a foil or lead-lined tower? I'll not wear the hat, though. :-)

Let's get the discussion back on track.

There's another way of achieving high speed 'puters, and that's by harnessing them together, as in the twenty-mule-team CPU. That would spread out the heat load, and the array could simply piggyback on the socket of an obsolete motherboard.

A long time ago, my company had an electron microscope whose maker was gone forever. Our repair guy simply had piggyback boards made with modern components that could do whatever it was that the no-longer-available chips and modules could no longer do. I learned to replace burnt-out tantatalum capacitors with cheap electrolytics found in the local electronics store ... that machine had relatively few integrated circuits.

In the meantime, consider trying to re-learn games that aren't so computer-intensive. What does it take to type a report, even one with lots of figures ? We're being forced to shoehorn GNU/linux into perpetually pre-obsolete computers and forgetting how to upgrade the older ones. One supplier of a spreadsheet-based graphing app has been supplying essentially the same app for some twenty-five years that works exactly the same way today as it did when running on a DOS 6.22 PC-AT computer, and it could do fourier transforms on huge data arrays then in just a few minutes. What's the hurry ?

can we just ignore this chaosesque team of trolls? - he is obviously one disturbed personality. so why feed him and keep on this nonsense? Thx..

I've just realised (s)he calls him/erself chaosesqueteam.

The name "chaos-proper-team" would've been more appropriate :p
