Abrowser add-ons search broken?

I tried installing libreJS for my abrowser in Trisquel 9. So I went to about:addons. Clicked on "Find more add-ons", because there was nothing showing up. This might be the first issue, should there be something showing up here?

After clicking on "Find more add-ons" I was redirected to this page. Seems OK to me. After searching for librejs I got two results (screenshot abrowser-addons.png).

When trying to install the above version (GNU LibreJs), I get the following error message: (screenshot add-on-corrupt.png)

Only when I click on the second option and get redirected to Mozilla Firefox addon installation, can I successfully install LibreJS.

Is this an issue with the LibreJS addon, abrowser in general or just me?

I don't know if these curated lists by Mozilla and Trisquel are really kept up to date. Just search duckduckgo or your favorite search engine for "git librejs", and the first or second result will point to the GNU Savannah git repo: https://savannah.gnu.org/git/?group=librejs

The Downloads link on that page has the latest librejs .xpi file, librejs-7.20.2.xpi from March 30, 2020. Click on it from within abrowser to install it as an add-on.

Imho this seems like a bug. Either the add-ons Manager should work, or it should be replaced by a small notice, telling the user "just use duckduckgo, make sure the license is free".

For example, installing uBlock origin worked fine. So it seems to not be a general issue with the Trisquel add-ons list, but just the librejs on it.

As you wish. I look at curated lists and think "how many things are likely to go wrong here". Why not go to the source when it is just as readily available? I guess it's an issue of convenience. I sign up for github and gitlab watchlists and for Savannah rss feeds on the projects I'm following, so that I get alerted to new releases.
