Abrowser weird activity.

Hello there.
I'm anew Trisquel user and I have to say that I'm very happy about it. I've installed Trisquel on my iMac 2007 and I love it!
I was using Ghostery with Firefox on Mac and I've searched for an alternative addon for Abrowser. I found Request Policy a Firefox extension that improves the privacy and security of your browsing by giving you control over when cross-site requests are allowed by webpages you visit. It is a free software, licensed under the GPL v3.
Anyway, I've noticed the following. For every site that I was visiting, there was a cross-site request for nongnu.org (see attachement). I haven't installed anything else on Trisquel. Have you got any idea why might cause this?
I've checked the nongnu.org website and at first I thought it was Gnash that was causing this. I've removed Gnash and Gnash common and Mozilla plugins but the cross request was still there. Is it an Abrowser thing?
I think this is very weird...
If you got any idea, why is this happening, please let me know.
Thank you in advance.

I think I found it, I have also installed Linterna Magica and this is the reason for the nongnu.org requests.
Anyone who can confirm this too?
Hi,
I'm the developer of Linterna Mágica and I can confirm the request to nongnu.org is because of Linterna Mágica. It is used to check for updates/new versions. It can be disabled with the "updates" config option as explained in the documentation. You will have to check for updates manually then.
Please have in mind that svn builds and trunk revisions since rev404 send the pages you visit as referrer in the HTTP request because of the fix for bug 3861. [1] Sorry there is no way to prevent this anymore.

P.S. I've disabled mail delivery from the Trisquel mailing list for a while since it became very high traffic and fills my e-mail box. If anybody has questions for me or Linterna Mágica, please send them to the project mailing list or my personal e-mail address. I havent unsubscribed, I've just disabled delivery for a while. Thanks!
Thank you very much both for your responses!
Ivaylo, congrats, Linterna Magica is fantastic!
Take care!
