In the settings, below the list of already selected search engines, there is a link to discover additional search engines that tries to open https://mycroft.mozdev.org/, which fails.

Is there another way to add search engines (for instance, to point to a searx instance)?

You can choose an instance on https://searx.space and visit it. If your tool bar includes a search field, a small icon with a "+" sign will appear and, clicking on that field, a similar icon allows to add the search engine. If your tool bar does not include a search field, you can add it from Abrowser's settings ("Search" section) or customizing the tool bar (after right clicking on it).

You can also add a search engine through the address bar if you are not using a separate search bar: press the down arrow key, and the list of search engines will appear, with the option to add the one you are currently visiting.

EDIT: of course, you must first select the content of the address bar, then press the down arrow key.

When I find a good search engine, I just print it out and then staple it to my monitor.

Sort of like this picture, but I find that stapling lasts much longer than post-it-notes.

Thanks, it worked ! And then it is possible to select it as the default search engine in the settings. Perfect !
