Announcing LibreStat.us

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to announce that I am running a public GNU Social instance and I encourage anyone who is not already a member of GNU Social to join!

GNU Social is a continuation of the StatusNet project, which was popularized by identi.ca. It is a federated social network which means that you don't have to be on the same instance in order to follow anyone on the network.

GNU Social is an excellent alternative to all of the popular social networks and I would encourage everyone to either join an existing node, or start your own. If you are interested in starting your own I have written up an installation guide which can be found here:
