Good luck with that. Hopefully Trisquel 10 will include ppc64el. I am already compiling Linux-libre for it: https://jxself.org/linux-libre/
ppc64 and ppc64el are both listed because the machine can be used in both big- and little-endian modes so I build the kernel both ways.

Devuan and Debian both have ppc64el images available - switch in one of jxself's Linux-libre kernels and use the 'vrms' command to find and purge any non-free firmware or software, and you should have a system with no non-free software running.
