This Application quit unexpectedly

When using different programs (such as OpenShot) a box pops up that says the application I was using quit unexpectedly. I dismiss the dialog box, and the program keeps working, like it was before. Why is this happening?

I noticed the same thing. I think I recall it saying that the cause was
wpa_supplicant, but I'm not 100% sure.
