Cannot launch some DEs from LXDM login screen - ok if GDM is used

Hello guys,
I have installed a bunch of DEs and am able to launch them all with GDM : Gnome Fallback, Gnome (Shell), Unity, LXDE...
But if switch from GDM to LXDM, the same DEs can still be selected but some of them cannot be launched (namely Unity and Gnome Shell). When clicking OK, nothing happens.
Any idea why?...

You're lucky cuz I can't see other environments besides gnome classic in GDM. Granted I only tried unity 2d but had no way to load it. Maybe because I was in virtualbox?
