Is ConnochaetOS still safe to use?

Hi,
I would like to hear about this from ConnochaetOS users.
I have some old computers I would like to install it on, but the latest release is several years old. I heard a statement from the developers some time ago, saying that it "still gets security updates".
Can somebody confirm this? Can I use ConnochaetOS without being concerned?
I wouldn't really have a problem with packages that are rather outdated (as long as there are no security concerns).
Unfortunately Freenix does not support 32 bit architecture, this is why I asked about Connochaet.
I know that Trisquel and Parabola are available as 32 bit versions, but some of my machines can't handle them properly (though they are 32 bit machines).
So far, Connochaet is the only distro that runs well. Haven't tried Antix because of all the non-free stuff.

I am running Trisquel 8 on a 32-bit laptop that's about 8 years old, and it runs fine (click on my username to see the full specs). One thing that can cause a whole range of annoying issues on older machines is their beat-up old magnetic hard drives. I put an SSD in this laptop, and it immediately started running like a dream (even before I doubled the RAM to 2GB).
I was sad that Flidas would be the last version of Trisquel I could run on this laptop, because Ubuntu 18.04 (on which the Trisquel 9 Etiona will be based) had no 32-bit support. But according to some of the comments here, other Ubuntu variants will maintain 32-bit support, so perhaps it can be sustained in Etiona as well?

The tip with the SSD is basically interesting...maybe I should have mentioned that I still own machines that use IDE instead of SATA.
But with an adapter, maybe Trisquel will run properly. I will test this.
I would be very pleased if Trisquel 9 would still support 32 bit. But I fear that Trisquel developers think there's too few demand to do such extra work (which is basically correct).
Anyway...hopefully there will still be free distros to support 32 bit. There are many ways such old devices can still be useful.
