Hello everyone,

Could anyone say what is the difference between the "Normal" version of Trisquel and the FSF version of Trisquel (beside the Logo at boot of course).

Best Regards,
Luis Da Costa

As far as I know the fsf version has more apps on the live medium (like inkscape and blender) and some fsf reading materials.

In http://devel.trisquel.info/makeiso/iso/ you can compare the applications listed in the corresponding manifest files.

Thank you for all your answers :D

I just have 2 questions:
1 - This version seems do provide crucial packages that can be very useful for the day use ! (Even small libraries that are a pain to remember that we have to install them in order (for example) to convert a video to mp3 using ffmpeg). So why isn't this version provided in the Download page ? (I wanted to say Default until I saw that the size of the iso was 1.5G :S).

2 - Isn't firefox considered by the FSF Directory as non-totally-free ? And this was what cause the creation of Abrowser, Iceweasel, Icecat etc... ? So why does Trisquel 6.0 (don't remember about 5.5) provide firefox in the repositories ? And why does the FSF version of Trisquel come already with all the languages of Firefox installed but no Firefox ? (Side-by-side with the Abrowser languange packages).

Thanks in advance,
Luis

Some media formats are under patents restrictions in some countries, maybe is the reason why they are or not present in trisquel.

Firefox in trisquel is a virtual package
