Display issue (probably font rendering) on Abroswer

On Trisquel 8.0 LTS, I found that fonts are not displayed correctly when I scroll down in Abrowser: screen-shot is attached as file below.

This seems problem with Abrowser only. Should I report a bug? or How do I fix it?

It's already been reported here: https://trisquel.info/en/project/issues

When you encounter the blurry text, you can make it go away temporarily
by switching to another tab and then switching back. I don't know of a
permanent fix though.

Thanks for the reply. Ok. It's already reported. Btw, I've just updated the abrowser - the issue is not fixed.
I've installed icecat to check whether the issue prevails. Though the frequency/occurrence of the problem is lesser on IceCat than Abrowser, but yes, facing the issue on both browsers.

So, is this problem inherent to firefox code or I should try other free/libre browser?

Interesting. I haven't noticed the issue with IceCat, but I don't use it
much. Have you tried vanilla Firefox and/or Tor Browser?

I have the same problem but only on my MacBook 2,1.

I don't see this problem om my T500, X200 or T400s.

I don't know if it is relevant, but all my machines are librebooted.

Which computer are you on, Pandya?

I also have problems with abrowser, rendering mainly...

foo@bar$ inxi -G
Graphics: Card: Intel Mobile 945GSE Express Integrated Graphics Controller
Display Server: X.Org 1.18.4 drivers: intel (unloaded: fbdev, vesa) Resolution: 1024x600@60.00hz
GLX Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel 945GME x86/MMX/SSE2 GLX Version: 1.4 Mesa 18.0.5

It seems to confirm that the issue is focused on the Mesa/Intel driver version.

However, Pale Moon works much better for me in this case but not without issues at all.

Best regards.

Pale Moon is not free software: https://www.palemoon.org/redist.shtml

Pale Moon is just as free as Firefox or Seamonkey - if you build these with unofficial branding then the binary file can be freely redistributable (e.g. like Iceape and IceCat/Abrowser), but if you use the compiled binaries provided they are not. The source code of Pale Moon is free software.

Well, I believe Pale Moon's trademark policy goes even farther than Mozilla"s:
5. The binaries are not supplied or built as an integral part of a commercial/non-commercial software package/larger works ("package"). (...)
6. The binaries are not supplied or built as an integral part of a commercial/non-commercial website/web service/on-line venue/etc. ("service"). (...)

https://www.palemoon.org/redist.shtml

That said, Mozilla's trademark forbidding to charge for the redistribution of exact copies (also in Pale Moon's trademark policy) is enough to be inadmissible: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/foundation/trademarks/policy/

Pale Moon also contains this clause:

Unofficial branding ("New Moon") as supplied in the source code may be used for unendorsed binaries at all times. Thusly branded binaries with the New Moon logo and product name are not subject to the endorsement and exception rules as set out in previous points of this license and may be freely distributed in altered or unaltered form, subject to the Mozilla Public License as regards source code changes and availability. This permission does, however, not include any rights or license to the Pale Moon name and logo that may still be present in the resulting unofficially branded binaries.

OK, Pale Moon is not Libre . . . but what about ABrowsers rendering problems with the Intel cards?

If you have faced them since Abrowser's upgrade to version 62, then try installing the package "xserver-xorg-hwe-16.04" (in Trisquel 8's repository). That is what ivanruvalcaba did: https://trisquel.info/forum/it-possible-apply-ubuntus-lts-enablement-stack-upgrades-trisquel-8

However, he does not know whether Abrowser's upgade or Xorg's upgrade solved the rendering glitches.

Neither the upgrade to 62 nor installing xserver-xorg-hwe-16.04 resolved
the issue for me.
