hi everybody, I got a HP Mini 110 and the wifi card doesn´t work. So I changed it but I didn´t know about the BIOS´s DRM. There are only 3 wifi cards that work with this model:

-Ralink RT-3090 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter module
-Atheros 9285G 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi Adapter module
-Broadcom 4312G 802.11b/g WiFi Adapter module

I know this thanks to a guy in SuperUser https://superuser.com/questions/1102045/why-i-can%C2%B4t-change-the-wifi-card
There is no support of coreboot for this netbook, but I just wan to know if on of these es free software compatible (the RT-3090 is not)

I´ve tried searching in h-node, but I don´t know which other names do these cards have

Thanks in advance...

The ralink and the broadcom won't.

As for the Atheros one, this dood reports on hnode that it works -> https://h-node.org/notebooks/view/en/1085/X54L/1/1/Asus/A-platinum/2011/undef/alphabetically/no/amd64/undef

Or you can opt for a Wifi dongle (i.e., USB-connected) with a supported chipset. AR9170, AR9270 or AR9271 for instance. The problem is: it is tough to know the chipset of a given model and, worse, a same model may be sold with different chipsets along its life (that is probably why, it is not even written on the wrapping). The safest solution is to buy from http://libre.thinkpenguin.com or http://tehnoetic.com (to the best of my knowledge, the only two vendors that guarantee that all their hardware work with Linux-libre, Trisquel's kernel). Or you take advice from https://trisquel.info/forum/14-fantastic-wifi-adaptor-tp-link-tl-wn722n a reasonably recent post (one can hope the chipset has not been changed since then). Or you can try the second-hand market (if the vendor indicates the chipset).
