Hi. I was wondering if Trisquel, either with a default install or with an optional Free software driver, is compatible with the newest "GMA HD"/"HD Graphics" chip from Intel, including 3d capability.

You may want to read this discussion in the Ubuntu forums, It's specifically about i5, but i3 and i7 are also part of the GMA HD series.
