Hi mixalis_t

Trisquel 7 is based off Gnome Flashback : https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeFlashback which is like GNOME 2 (GNOME 2 is no longer supported, however Gnome Flashback is and it's latest release was of : GNOME Flashback 3.20.0 released on 2016-04-03 )

Actually Gnome is GNOME 3 : https://www.gnome.org/ & GNOME Help is YELP : https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Yelp/ ,meaning that Yelp follows Gnome 3 rather than Gnome Flashback..

This however does not affect the documentation of applications when you may search for information or help

Hope this brings in some insight to your questions ;-)

If you read carefully the description of the issue and as I see in the screenshot, the documentation talks about concepts as Activities and the top bar that are not present in Trisquel.

So the question is. Should we change the existing documentation to be in accordance with the Trisquel interface or shipping the old gnome 2 documentation?

I did read your issue a while ago in fact ;-)

sorry this is a non issue to me and as you say :

the documentation talks about concepts as Activities and the top bar that are not present in Trisquel

They are if you install Gnome Shell from the repo
https://trisquel.info/fr/wiki/installer-gnome-shell-dans-trisquel-7-belenos-gnome

Yes, but the default is gnome flashback so the default doc should be about that.

If somebody chooses to install gnome-shell then he would receive the documentation also.

Yelp (Gnome Help Center) is a Gnome application and as i mentioned earlier it follows Gnome 3 (Shell).Earlier versions of Yelp with Gnome 2 are obsolete packages ""untrusted archives"" : https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/yelp

But Gnome Flashback is not Gnome 2

A Gnome Flashback introduction in Yelp ? good point, this would have to be sugested to the developpers of
https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeFlashback
