Is All GNU Software strictly just for GNU/Linux?
Not necessarily. Some developers choose to make their programs available for Windows and OS X as well.
No. A great deal of GNU software works with the BSDs, as well. Some have OSX and Windows ports.
The problem with compilations is that they get old and thus outdated. So, they only serve for lazy people who won't install updated software.
I install about 90% of OSS on my customers machines that run any Windows and the major of that software is also FLOSS.
A brief list that comes to my mind quickly:

Don't forget GNU/Hurd.
As things are at the moment, i would say: forget GNU/Hurd.
There are GNU software and non GNU software which is for GNU/Linux neither Linux. Some are for Windows only, some are for MacOS (or whatever its name is now), others for BSD.
Moreover, there are plenty of software that is cross platform and are for Windows and Linux and also MacOS.
Think for example of LibreOffice.
What about Apache Openoffice? Isn't it good as well?
Apache OpenOffice:
- is technically worse and more dated
- hosts proprietary extensions in its add-on store
Just use LibreOffice, it's better in every way and is actively maintained.
I dont use the proprietary addons however, But i am more used to AoO. So that's my reason why AoO is my favorite office suite for GNU/Linux systems
In case you've never tried LibreOffice, it was forked from OpenOffice so it's basically "AOO (well, technically Oracle OO), improved".
If you have tried it.....fair enough.
