Google Meet crashes while on Adbrowser (What could be the cause & how to fix)

Hi there,
I hate using Google anything, but I had been scheduled for a meeting with a company and they are expecting me to using this service in the near future.
However whenever I opening the link in the adbrowser with the Camera and Microphone set up and everything, the browser just crashes and shuts itself down.
I was wondering if there could be a reason for this. I'm assuming it may be because I'm relying on completely free software as oppose to anything non-free. More so, if there a possible fix for this?
I'll being checking if there's an alternative video calling software available in the meantime that doesn't require an account or to log in, but just wanted to ask and say I've done all that I could.
Any advice given will be fully appreciated
Thank you
Sorry, I meant Abrowser.
Thank you
It works fine for me, in abrowser.

I would open abrowser from a terminal and check what's printed while you use the video conference tool.

I'd try to find a public instance of Jitsi.

If you are in Europe, you could use https://visio.chalec.org. You can actually use it from anywhere but if you are not in Europe, transmission delays might be a problem.
If you have a public IP address and a decent connection, you could also install Jitsi on your own computer following instructions at https://jitsi.github.io/handbook/docs/devops-guide/devops-guide-quickstart/. I already did that on Trisquel 11, after I followed the instructions it just worked.
The list of Jitsi Meet public instances that was provided in the Jitsi community pages has been removed. An archived version from last year is available:
https://web.archive.org/web/20240221195355/https://jitsi.github.io/handbook/docs/community/community-instances
Getting a "Page not found" error instead of an explanation for the content removal is a bit surprising.

You could try something like this:
1. Close all existing abrowser windows
2. Open a terminal
3. Make sure you have the latest version
sudo apt update ; sudo apt install abrowser
At the time of writing you should see version: 134.0.2
4. On the same terminal, run Abrowser from it, just type:
abrowser
You'll see some logs and warnings (if you don't see any log, then Abrowser was not completely closed)
5. Go to the Google Meet website and try to replicate the crash.
6. Share the error you see there.
7. (Optional) Create a clean profile and try steps 4 to 6.
Regards
I would think any firefox based web browser that is up to date, ESR or otherwise should work without too much trouble.
If not, like the others said, send a error report.
Btw, I do think webkit web browsers would also work possibly depending on which one.
If they up to date, etc... because google is careful not to alienate apple safari users.
Apple safari uses webkit too, so... yeah.
Without the logs from the webpage console, I suspect that you may have been victim of the WWWorst App Store, since the owner of the website can change the client-side JavaScript at any time without warning (even if it is displayed as free/libre by GNU LibreJS) and you wouldn't be able to fix it to your liking.
GNU Jami could also be an option, it is listed by the trisquel-recommended package. It can be used as a client for a GNU Jami account, which requires little to no server to work, since it is distributed and requires some GNU Jami users to stay online in order for messages to be sent and later received. As a last resource, GNU Jami software can also be used as a SIP client for which you may be able to find SIP account providers somewhere in the internet or, if you have landline, explore that to see if it is based on a SIP account to actually take advantage of that (the providers unfortunately don't advertise nor document it on the contract, so you may need to look at the landline phone settings and in all user, administrator and repair manuals).

Seems the hate is still here, I post a comment trying to help and the next time I look, it has -3 for no friggin reason.
