I tried removing a PPA using ppa-purge from Taranis backports but it didn't work. Even installing a newer version of ppa-purge (from Ubuntu's repositories) and adding -d lucid didn't help. I suppose the only PPAs one can remove are those specifically designed for Trisquel which really limits the usefulness of this software.

I am not certain since I so not any need PPA anymore but can't it be removed from the second tab ("other softwares") of the "update sources" (in the System/Administration menu)?

A PPA can also be removed this way but I don't believe the software installed from it is removed and replaced by the versions provided by the distribution (if they are available).
