How to change default browser in kde

I installed the triskel meta-package and I like it. I would like to change my default browser to rekonq. I changed the entry in System Settings >> default applications, but it doesn't seem to have done anything. I know most trisquel users are using gnome and might not have proficiency in kde, but if anyone out there does and can give me a hand, I'd appreciate it.
