Hello, this is my first question and I'm sorry to say that my native language is not English, and yes the Portuguese of Brazil

The question is in the title: The icecat of the trisquel 8 comes with an older version of librejs 6.0.13 and already has a better version which I tested in abrowser 7.16.0 or 7.14.0 that is more "usable" as the on-script only that the compatibility error when installing in icecat because it seems to be a browser with an older version, unlike the abrowser. This older version even placing some scripts on the white list does not work and the error. The new version will not have this problem.

Ps: I Saw that the LibreJS received a donation through the GNOME project from a company other DNS Peer-to-Peer. So has the future!

Can you install it if you open Icecat and go to https://www.gnu.org/software/librejs/ and click on the thing that says " In GNU IceCat or any Mozilla browser, you can install LibreJS by clicking on this link and following the subsequent instructions: librejs-7.16.0.xpi." ???

On Abrowser, my LibreJS addon was automatically updated. In "about:addons" (that you can open through Abrowser's menu or using Ctrl+Shift+A) you can setup that automatic update in the "gear" menu (o menu com uma rodinha).

If I go directly in the store of mozilla of this message: This add-on requires a newer version of Firefox (at least version 60.0). You are using Firefox 52.0.

Magic Banana, I Did what you said says that you do not have to update anything. You are using the LibreJS 7 in Icecat 52?

7.16, yes. Abrowser does not communicate its right version number to websites. To fight against fingerprinting, I believe. On https://addons.mozilla.org you can right-click on the buttons "Add to Firefox", copy the link and paste it in the address bar.

Does not work the same. Of the same error that I spoke to. Is there a way to "trick" the browser saying that it is a newer version of icecat?

Does clicking on https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/1067196/gnu_librejs-7.16-an+fx.xpi (following the small procedure I wrote should amount to that) propose you to add the latest version of LiberJS?

Is there a way to "trick" the browser saying that it is a newer version of icecat?

You can modify the value of general.useragent.override in about:config.

There is no newer version of Icecat at this time. Icecat is currently
based on Firefox ESR52, which is too old for the latest version of
LibreJS. Support for ESR52 ended on September 5th, so hopefully Icecat
will switch to ESR60 soon. In the meantime, Abrowser is based on Firefox
61, so it should be able to install the latest version of LibreJS.

Magic Banana, thank you for the help but it didn't work. But grateful for the attention. Chaosmonk I hope to see this update soon even, I would like to install an extension that also is not compatible with this version of icecat. In regard to Abrowser, he is cool, but I use the network tor with privoxy and in abrowser some sites ask for captcha but in icecat, as in the tor browser, don't ask for it.
