Hi guys I found this cool website about A.i. hopping around the internet today, and saw a very cool looking penguin, actually the website has a white background, and I use a customized desktop with a black background now... very cool, so their icon for their website actually looked different for me with a black background, and it looked so good I took a screenshot of it, and opened it up in inkscape to turn it into a .svg file so I can use it as a desktop icon.

If you like dark themes, the Techno penguin will look very good as your application icon, which is very easy to configure.

for me I simply place the svg file into my ~/.icons directory

then immediately I can right click on my application menu icon on my desktop panel, click the button to select a new icon, and browse to the new techno penguin.

(in xfce)

for other desktop environments the steps vary, and you may have to log in and out, as well as possibly restart your computer.

To be clear I made a version originally by attempting to save the image directly from the webpage, and then cutting it up, and attempting to fill in the remaining white pixels with black pixels, then importing it into inkscape to make it an svg, and it looked very poor and unprofessional. That was Techno_Penguin.svg 1.0

Then I used the "screenshooter app" (sorry offensive name) to quickly take a high quality screenshot of the tiny region I wanted to capture, opened it up in inkscape directly, cleaned it up, and now we have Techno_Penguin 2.0

I hope you like it

Okay, so uploading .svg files is not allowed.

so I renamed the file Techno_Penguin2.svg -> Techno_Penguin2.jpg

to trick the servers security system, into allowing me to share this beautiful application menu icon with you.

you simply have to rename the file Techno_Penguin2.jpg -> Techno_Penguin2.svg

maybe like this if you like a command line

mv Techno_Penguin2.jpg ./Techno_Penguin2.svg

(maybe techno penguin 3.0 will be more centered, 2.0 has a bit of his head cut off, I'm not a very professional artist ; d )

Hmm well it's actually really hard to find a black theme, most of the dark ones are grey...

and it might of literally taken me days and many hours to find the one I'm using now,

and I don't know of a file upload site to help you out + you cant search the https://www.xfce-look.org

website to find it right now... their search is broken, and google(duckduckgo) search is also broken...

(i think I made it mad when I downloaded plasma wallpapers for xfce desktop(how does it know???)

ooo pling will let me search apparently... let's see...

here's one, this one looks really good

https://www.pling.com/p/2010116/

then youll simply have to find some good dark and grey folders...

and here is the final version of Techno_Penguin.svg

just remember to rename the file like this: mv Techno_Penguin_4.jpg Techno_Penguin_4.svg

so to avoid connecting to google analytics (youre still going to do that using firefox anyways)
you can get the theme from the guys code hosting site like this

git clone https://www.opencode.net/infinity64/blackandwhite-gtk.git

or download the zip archive
