Hello, I'm having a problem in the language of my trisquel 10. I cleaned with the bleachbit and forgot to select the languages I wanted to keep in the process. I use the pt-br of Brazil. I have tried a few things by the terminal and the control center, but always partially solved.
In case now I have a mixture of pt-br and en in the menus and windows. Really in one of the items of the control panel did not resolve.

If you can help me, I appreciate it.

Don't you have in the main menu an application called "Language Support" or maybe "Language & Region"?

Yes, it is even in the right order of the languages I intend to use.

Language Support probably deals with only some of the applications. What are the applications that were in Portuguese ans are not anymore? For instance, for Abrowser and Icedove, you want the packages abrowser-locale-pt and icedove-locale-pt installed. More generally you can search for packages whose names contain "-pt", for instance via the Synaptic Package Manager.

These applications are reasonably easy to change the language. The issue is in the other native applications such as the plume, terminal, caja...

I guess BleachBit removes system files but, for APT, the packages providing them are still installed. I would try to remove "Portuguese (Brazil)" and "Portuguese (Portugal)" from Language Support and to reinstall them. You may then need to log out and to log in again.

I delete the Portuguese and did logout and login again and even the English was mixed with pt-br in the menus of the panel.
I did the procedure of purging the menu with its dependencies and install the Portuguese again and logout and login and worked in parts.

The terminal, pluma, and caja and others continue in English even purging.

The session ending button continues in English, as does the above apps. The menu looks like everything's right.

I would make sure that language-pack-pt is installed, and run apt update && upgrade. The package description says: "language-pack-pt-base provides the bulk of translation data and is updated only seldom. This package provides frequent translation updates."

If this does not improve the situation, I would consider a fresh install with the last Trisquel 11 Aramo beta ISO.

I purged the list of packages removed with this com command: apt purge $(dpkg -l | awk'/?rc/? ?print $2') and found that language-pack-en-base and language-pack-gnome-en-base were not installed. I removed the Portuguese package again and installed those above. I rebooted the computer and installed the packages of my language again. I re-started again and yet the native programs are still in English.

Make sure that you clicked on "Aplicar a todo o sistema" after selecting the proper options, as in the screenshot you posted above.

Else, running dpkg-reconfigure locales and selecting en_US and pt_BR may help.

Redefining the locale, I cleared cache, created a new user, but still not fully solved. Terminal, Caja, Pluma are still in English. Follow the arch's wiki but did not resolve.

$ locale
LANG=pt_BR.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=pt_BR:pt_PT:en
LC_CTYPE="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC=pt_BR.UTF-8
LC_TIME=pt_BR.UTF-8
LC_COLLATE="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY=pt_BR.UTF-8
LC_MESSAGES="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER=pt_BR.UTF-8
LC_NAME=pt_BR.UTF-8
LC_ADDRESS=pt_BR.UTF-8
LC_TELEPHONE=pt_BR.UTF-8
LC_MEASUREMENT=pt_BR.UTF-8
LC_IDENTIFICATION=pt_BR.UTF-8
LC_ALL=

$ locale -a
C
C.UTF-8
en_US.utf8
POSIX
pt_BR.utf8
pt_PT.utf8

On my system, 'POSIX' comes at the very end of that list. No idea whether this will help, though, just mentioning.

EDIT: forget about it, the list is probably in alphabetical order.

I still haven't been able to fully solve it. Does anyone have any idea?

Not having much ideas here, but you might like to try reinstall the package using --reinstall that should restore deleted/changed files.

Maybe something like,
sudo apt install --reinstall pluma

Close your session and log in again, and test if it shows in the correct language for such app.
If that's the case, you might be in for a long reinstall process, I wonder if reinstalling would be better than that.
Regards.

Unfortunately, it did not resolve. Few applications that are in English now, such as the plume, caja, terminal, and session finalization. It’s not a problem for me, but it could be different.
