Hi,
Currently, there are about 220 issues that have not been resolved
on Trisquel issue tracker. I guess some people here have reported an issue
before, so I propose the following to help update the issues statuses:
Find your issues
- Login to Trisquel Web site.
- Go to the Issues section.
- In the column to the right, click on My issues.
Update your issues
Basically, you take issue by issue and check if the problem is still present in
Trisquel 6.0 or if it has been fixed. Then you update the issue information
accordingly. Here are some suggested steps.
For each issue on your list:
- If the issue was reported against a version previous to 6.0:
- Try to reproduce it in Trisquel 6.0.
- If it persists in Trisquel 6.0:
- Add a new comment saying something like:
This issue is still present on Trisquel [Mini] 6.0 for [32 or 64 bit] machines. [Provide any other information you think is relevant]
- Change the issue version field to 6.0
- Add a new comment saying something like:
- If it does not persists in Trisquel 6.0:
- Add a new comment saying something like:
I can't reproduce this issue in Trisquel [Mini] 6.0 for [32 or 64 bit]. This issue probably won't get resolved for the version it was reported initially (version x.x) because this version [has reached End on Life or reaches End of Life on DATE].
Take into account here that Trisquel versions End
of Life (EOL) is the same as the Ubuntu version
they are based upon. You can check the
Trisquel
article in Wikipedia and
Ubuntu Releases page
to know if a version of Trisquel is still supported
or not. - If you reported the issue:
- Change issue status to closed.
- Add a new comment saying something like:
Just saying... I'd like to see less pages in the Issue tracker :)
I finished updating my issues.
Good idea!

I hadn't even noticed such a useful button!
I'm still on 5.5 but just closed 2 of my bugs. And now have a list of things to try when I hit 6.0.
