is it possible or safe to install Gnucash?

Hi everybody,
does anybody know how I can install Gnucash? It's not an option in the "Add/Remove Applications" module.
in your peoples' opinions, should I avoid installing it because it's not in this list? I thought it was "libre" but I am admittedly ignorant in this field.
I do find Gnucash extraordinarily helpful and the other Accounting softwares that are available don't seem to have the same "double entry accounting" and full financial statement features as GnuCash.

I realized I can install it very easily by typing "sudo apt install gnucash"..... so that part of my question is already answered. and someone told me this is because of the default ubuntu repository?
but about my 2nd question, is this something one should avoid installing? did Trisquel leave it out of the default module intentionally because of binary blobs or something of that nature?
GnuCash is free software. It is even part of the GNU project. My parents, who are (well, were) both accountants, have been using it on Trisquel for more than a decade now.
I do not know why Add/Remove Applications does not list GnuCash.

You can search software too in the same trisquel repository in Synaptic and with 'apt search' for example, 'apt search gnucash' in terminal. Happy hacking!

I can see GnuCash in Add/Remove Applications (using aramo) but when I search for "XMPP", clients like dino or profanity are not listed although they are available. This is why I often use "apt search", as it can search in the descriptions. However, I haven't found a good way to filter out libraries.
When I search for a program I go to Add/Remove software but if it is not there, then I search in Synaptic (System->Admin->Synaptic package manager)...there are many more programs in Synaptic like Gnucash , and yes, it's free software.
We have to parents here in Trisquel. As a result we have two repositories. I think the first one comes from Ubuntu and the second one comes from Debian.

"Add/Remove Applications" and the "Synaptic Package Manager" access the same repositories. However, "Add/Remove Applications" filters out packages that most users supposedly do not want do directly use (libraries, terminal applications, etc.). It obviously does that imperfectly, as in GnuCash's case.
