It's 'lulz time' with Pottering, the guy that is (not so) slowly transforming your GNU/Linux distro into Systemd/Pottering..

Out with the GNU, in with the really, really new. Seriously, though: I was taught it was Microsoft's job to release poorly tested beta software and make unwarranted assumptions about the opposition.
This is well worth looking at
Devuan GNU+Linux presented at FSCONS 2016
Presented by Jaromil of Dyne.org

The Devuan project has matured into a nice & singular + very interesting project with forks such as GNUinos, Refracta, eXe GNU/Linux and ::heads (a Libre version of Tails )
I hadn't seen the video before- I shall have to have a look- but Devuan certainly does seem a promising project. Once there's an FSF-approved distro based on it, it's definitely something to look at for a day-to-day OS (although probably not before then- whilst I certainly don't approve of the situation with systemd, it's not bad enough for me to switch OSes immediately).
Admittedly, though, I'm currently rather intrigued by Void GNU/Linux. I can't tell if it's been purged entirely of systemd, and it most definitely would require some work to reach FSDG status, but it seems to provide a rather interesting alternative to Debian-based distros.
The fact that such a vital component of the system is mainly maintained by a clown is worrying to me. No, I'm not gonna switch to another distro because Debian is gold :)
If Debian is made of gold?
It must be the type of "Gold", that melts into "m.e.r.d.a" and " fools-Gold"
Purity is the best medicine, for that I choose Debuan...
thanks for letting us know x_X
A Debian user 'uname -a' output...
$ uname -a
Linux debian 4.10.12 #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Apr 25 20:54:09 -03 2017 x86_64 Systemd/Linux
uname -a
Linux localhost 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.39-1+deb8u2 (2017-03-07) x86_64 GNU/Linux
although I don't know for ho much longer..
Ah, well, until systemd doesn't become the whole OS (surely it will!), you can still call it GNU/Linux :D
