Hello, in case anyone was wondering, Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard combos that use the "Unifying" receiver work right out of the box with Trisquel (and I assume other FOSS GNU/Linux distros). (You may stop reading now, the rest is just me blah blah blah-ing.)

I used to have the old (probably 7 years old) Logitech MK710 mouse/keyboard combo, but that started to break, so I needed a new one. I was hesitant to buy a new Logitech combo since there is this new "Unifying Software" area on their website where you can download drivers for Windows and Mac, with no mention of GNU/Linux.

I got the MK520 mouse/keyboard combo, to be specific. Didn't do anything but plug it in, and it worked right away (love GNU/Linux so much). Most of the "Function" keys work too (a couple don't, but I don't care that much, I just wanted a quality keyboard and mouse; they could have all been useless and I wouldn't have cared lol).

Only been using it for a few hours, but I highly recommend it :) Just thought I'd let you all know that it works!

The MX mice / keyboard work out of the box in GNU/Linux.

There have been many different solutions to the pairing problem until a
few months ago, it seems this very nice little utility showed up:
http://pwr.github.io/Solaar/index.html

There is a PPA, and it should work with Trisquel:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:daniel.pavel/solaar
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install solaar

I only found about it today while looking for the script I had to use
last year! Thank you so much for asking this question today.

I wrote about Solaar on my blog, if you want to see some screenshots:

You might want to add it to http://h-node.org/

If you can figure out which category it belongs, that is!
