Does anyone know to make a web page that will make a slide show of all the photos stored in some directory? I'd like that I can send the hyperlink to people I want to show the photos, and then, when they click the link, the slide show starts immediately, or having only a start/stop button, but really nothing else.

I have tried putting photos on a nextcloud server and making a sharing link, but for most people to whom I sent this, the layout of the nextcloud interface was too complicated, several never managed to see the photos, or they manage once but next time they already forgot how to do.

Thanks for the hints. However, the level of complexity of these tools seems greatly above what I am looking for. I will make the list of photos only once, no update ever, and I don't want any photo gallery, just a single slide show. I really don't want to install a database for this. Somethink like an html file for each photo, with the photo taking all screen, and a timer to load the next page. Something like a basic script to generate this. If I don't find this ready to use, I'll probably try writing it myself.

fgallery does it perfectly, thanks!

For some reason, if I try to open the file locally, it says "Cannot load gallery data", but if I use "python3 -m http.server" to make a local server, it works fine.

EDIT: fgallery is really nice but unfortunately, it does not have the option to hide the thumbnails completely, and when using a mobile phone, the screen area taken by the main photo is rather small. I guess I am going to make a script by myself, to generate one html file per photo, that only shows the photo, with click on left side to go to previous photo and click on right side to go to next one. I will not use any javascript for that (not needed and anyway, I never learned javascript).
