Firefox 37 just came out and added a new feature called Haertbeat. To disable:
Open about:config in a new tab
Search for and set browser.selfsupport.url to ""

If checked the Abrowser helper on Trisquel's code and I'm happy to tell you that "Heartbeat" will be disabled on the next release of the browser so don't worry about that.
