Hello,

I'm currently running Trisquel 7.0 amd64 and I checked updates as normal and a message window pops up stating:

'Not all updates can be installed' with an option to do a 'Partial Upgrade' to install as many updates as possible or press 'Continue' to install updates as normal but updates are being held back.

When I select 'Partial Upgrade' I get a message saying;

'Can not upgrade

An upgrade from 'belenos' to 'trusty' is not supported with this tool.'

Can anyone tell me why this is the case?

Thanks in advance!

Steve

If you run the Synaptic package manager and check out the broken packages (under "custom filters", a button in the lower-left corner of the window), you may identify package that are raising troubles in your system.

It seems to be some nasty package rename issue. I fixed it for myself by force-removing (with dpkg --force-depends) ubuntu-release-upgrader-core and ubuntu-release-upgrader-gtk and installing in their place trisquel-release-upgrader-core and trisquel-release-upgrader-gtk.
