Commonly I use OggConvert to convert .mp3 to .ogg. I've always wondered if there is another software which allow queueing... Would be a significant help.

If I understand it correctly by queuing you mean 'batch conversion', that is you want for example to convert all the mp3 files in a directory, or why not ,all of them files placed in ~/Music with all the subfolders?

If so, I think dir2ogg is a good option.

Yes that is what I meant. And indeed it works very nice. Thank you for the quick answer!

If you want a graphical interface, SoundConverter is in Trisquel's repository. I use it to extract the audio tracks of videos too. It can read any format that Gstreamer supports (so, basically, anything) and can write not only Ogg Vorbis but also FLAC, WAV or MP3. It is buggy though: it often prints error message that do not seem to be real errors (the files are eventually converted) and it sometimes crashes on some specific files (maybe only on some videos though).

I recently installed SoundConverter (2.0.4) on Trisquel 7. All updates have been downloaded and installed with apt-get. Today, I tried to convert some .wma files to .mp3. It didn't work, and I and got a pop-up with the following error message:

>> failed to install plugins: <<

Any suggestions?

Actually ignore this, I'll create a new thread for it.
