Anybody into OpenCores project? The website http://opencores.org/ says "OpenCores.org host the source code for different digital HW projects (IP-cores, SoC, boards, etc) and support the users with different tools, platforms, forums and other useful information.".

yes, so is rhombus-tech.net . they have an FSF-Endorseable icubecorp
computer card (user friendly modular/upgradable cpu card standard - eoma-68)

http://rhombus-tech.net/icubecorp/IC1T/

icubecore is not opencores but its similar i think, check out there
about page.
http://icubecorp.com/about/

4cores of 400mhz = 1.6ghz

luke was excited about it on the mailing list:

"i have been in touch with icubecorp, they have that awesome
hybrid VPU/GPU/CPU core, and they decided to do a sub-$2.50 55nm
210-pin QFP out of it, running at 400mhz but quad-threaded. it's
capable (on its own) of 720p video decode and 3D graphics *entirely*
in software. the down-side is that this revision was designed as a
low-entry android or embedded controller IC, so can only do up to
512mb RAM. they can do a respin but only with a large enough order.

this will be one of the very first FSF-Endorseable CPU Cards"

mailing list posts about it:

Um, their expected ship date is "2013/14" and their last news update was released in 2013.
Seems pretty dead to me.

EDIT: Yea, looked at their forums. Definately dead.

Last status here

I think more people need to learn FPGA and ipcores.

So we can make community open ASIC and write OS for it.

Now i try to learn assembler cos i understand more how cpu really work c and c++ do not give this understanding.

Then will be ip core and FPGA

I think FSF must port librecmc to one fpga board with open core cpu.
