Hello,

I installed Trisquel 5 on my computer and to be able to connect to the network, I have no other choice to use a wireless usb adapter. In h-node site, I found TEW424UB of trendnet. I bought it (version 2.0). The computer detects the adapter with lsusb, I have a line:

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0457:0163 Silicon Integrated Systems Corp.. 802.11 Wireless LAN Adapter

But no sign of life. How set to make it work?

Thank you in advance.

Mmmm... I believe you have properly read the h-node page ( http://www.h-node.com/wifi/view/en/180/Encore-ENUWI-G/1/1/Silicon-Integrated-Systems/undef/undef/undef/undef ) :
"Does it work with free software? no"

I read an other page in h-node, but maybe it is outdated.

http://www.h-node.com/wifi/view/en/166/TRENDnet-TEW-424UB/1/1/undef/undef/yes/USB/undef

There must be several model of TEW 424 UB, either with a realtek or with Silicon Integrated System.

Thanks!
