The Prodigal Son Returns; LOL!

Well, almost. I've retrisquelized one of my machines, and gotten one of those Think Penguin wifi dongles. I'd been away, trying lots of distros. This is Trisquel 9 on my Lenovo Thinkpad. Maybe I'll get another TP wifi dongle for the other box, or maybe get a new machine, perhaps from Think Penguin?
Cheers,
Dave H.
Congratulations, Dave. Thanks for sharing your experience I could learn a lot.

Any questions? Just ask. If I don't have a decent answer, someone else, here, will; LOL.
I wish you all the best, son!
Congrats. I started with one and then outfitted all of my systems with either a Think Penguin dongle or PCI-E card. They're great for speed and hassle free to install. I like the look of Think Penguin laptops but they lack Libreboot/CoreBoot and privacy kill switches. If I were to get a laptop my list would be:
1. Mini Free/RetroFreedom (Libreboot)
2. Purism (Coreboot + Privacy Kill Switches)
3. System76/Star Labs (CoreBoot)
4. Think Penguin (Works on Trisquel for certain)
5. PineBook Pro (Privacy Kill Switches)
Thanks for the list. What about Star Labs? I think they sell a Core Boot laptop? Maybe something is non-free in their products?
I forgot about Star Labs. I am happy they started offering CoreBoot. Looking at their laptop I would say the only part that doesn't look to be FOSS friendly to me is their wifi, I haven't seen any AX chips that fork without blobs. That being said System76 will probably have the same issue.
There is another vendor called Zerocat.

They also sell a RYF device called chipflasher. I have one, but yet have to get down to flashing my x230t with blobless coreboot.
Thanks!
My ThinkPenguin laptop is shipping on Monday.
