As the link says, AMD mucode sources have now been leaked and released online, then AMD mucode is now libre (Intel one is not yet), so if Purism wants to be fit for Libreboot they should be switched to the AMD chips. :)

The link does not say that. It is not about a leak. It is about a tool to reverse engineer PSP, which is the equivalent in AMD's processors of Intel's ME. No AMD code has been released. No AMD code has become libre.

Even if there were leaked source code (there isn't), leaks aren't free software by their nature. Because of the unauthorized nature of a leak they don't come with the needed copyright permission to be able to change and share them. Remember those freedoms? https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html Free software fail.

What jxself says is correct. But about the european community some matters
has to be clarified.

I have explained the following to jxself previously but I
cannot find the trisquel forum post.

I assume the reverse engineering toll does not
represent any illegalities, you are
allowed to use it to get the source code in question. If it turns
out the source code shows no back doors or other unwanted
features, you can leave it as it is. Else you are allowed to
modify it as you want to.

Thereby you do not get a computer which can get ryf. But
you get a computer where you have access to the
source software.
Which is an improvement.
