Hi my question is how to Upgrade Trisquel Mini to Desktop Trisquel? I installed mini on a 700MB CD because that's the biggest size I have, but I want to use the full trisquel. I tried with a usb before and failed. I feel like the desktop would be better because it has more of the configurations I need.

I am using a Lenovo Thinkpad X200s Intel Core 2 Duo est. 2009 with non-libre bios and non functioning intel drivers.

There are those meta-packages in the repository:

  1. trisquel;
  2. trisquel-recommended;
  3. trisquel-mini;
  4. trisquel-mini-recommended.

The default system depends on the two first packages. You therefore want to install them. The Mini system depends on the two last packages. Removing them will not remove anything (they are meta-packages, i.e., they only define dependencies). If you want to remove the packages that depend on "trisquel-mini" and "trisquel-mini-recommended", you can use 'debfoster' (in the repository too), which makes that process easy.

However, if you recently installed Trisquel Mini (i.e., if you have not installed many package on top of the default system), it is easier to download the ISO for the GNOME system and redo an install.

yeah I did install the first two but reintalling the whole thing resolved the issue.

Installin Trisquel GNOME is fairly easy - do as described by Magic Banana to the Mini system.

Removing Trisquel Mini isn't easy, though. I think reinstalling was the wiser option.
