Questions about updating the kernel and Trisquel's wiki-guide on how to do it

So I freshly installed Trisquel Mini in hopes of getting the temps down, and then went straight here: https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/update-linux-libre-kernel

to get some guidance on how to update the kernel.

Now I assumed that the kernel the wiki calls 4.13 is actually 4.4.13, but when I now do "$ uname -r" in terminal I get "4.13.0-36-generic"

Have I downgraded the kernel following the wiki on this site? Should the "update your kernel"-wiki be updated itself?

Or am I misunderstanding something fundamental?

You do. What I explained you two days ago: https://trisquel.info/forum/how-choose-right-kernel-your-pc#comment-132478

If you want the latest version of the kernel available in Trisquel's repository (4.13.0-36 for the moment), just install the "linux-generic-hwe-8.0" package, as the manual says.

Oh my.. I misunderstood the exact same thing once again. I don't know why my brain can't handle this, I... apologize.

I don't follow, What does 4.4 has anything to do here? 13 is way after 4

Yeah.. It's just my brain refuses to recognize this. I think it is because subconciously I want it to be 1.3 and 4.0 or something... Either way sorry for the trouble
