They're currently teaching Oracle Database this year and their "Linux" class requires people to install it in VMware Workstation on Windows. They can't even teach GNU/Linux without requiring people to use Windows. And Ubuntu is their recommended distro.

I think it would be better if this was posted in the main section instead of the troll hole.

probably, Although I'm kinda new here and am not fully aware of what post goes where, mostly because I don't know what section is social and what section is support, or if both was lumped into a single section.

I think SanJac just tried to indoctrinate me about intellectual property. I've attached the relevant pages from their textbook which is called Management of Information Security 3rd Edition. Think I'm right or did they just give students textbooks without looking at them first?

"The owner of intellectual property has the right to control proprietary ideas, as well as their tangible or virtual representation. Information about an organization’s intellectual property can be of great interest to its competitors and can be accidentally or deliberately disseminated to those outside the organization."

That's ridiculous!

I assume that you know that "Intellectual Property" is a seductive mirage. If you don't, here's the link: http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/not-ipr.html

That's what made me suspect it was indoctrination
