Is this genuine: https://signal.org/android/apk/

I was guided to it by people that supposedly knows a lot about computer security and privacy. If it is real, how do I check if the sha256 fingerprint matches?

I got this
$ sha256sum Signal-website-release-4.6.1.apk
bd03325fe6f9ed50acf1ede210b8de7114f1aebd67528daece71d49c75ba2684 Signal-website-release-4.6.1.apk

which is a different kind of format that the fingerprint posted on the site:
29:F3:4E:5F:27:F2:11:B4:24:BC:5B:F9:D6:71:62:C0
EA:FB:A2:DA:35:AF:35:C1:64:16:FC:44:62:76:BA:26

I hope Signal no longer depends, recommends, or suggests (optionally or
not) Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) and related non-free software made from
Google.

This has been stressed frequently in the libreplanet-br mailing list,
specially since lots of people are now fostering Riot and Signal, but at
least in the case of Riot, it has a "conditional state of freedom", it
seems Riot only wants to "reach for more people" rather than providing
free/libre software for everyone, I say so be cause I saw the source
files of Riot, and it will only be free/libre software for those who
download it from F-Droid, but for those who get it from Google Play,
it'll depend *at least* on the non-free GCM. My investigation on Signal
tells me that it still needs to remove some non-free dependencies, but
my research was limited to issues shown in the repository of
LibreSignal, a fork of Signal that received a request to stop from the
Signal proprietors because, at the time, LibreSignal was doing something
(I don't remember what it was) that Signal people didn't like.

The High Priority list of the FSF does have an entry suggesting us to
help Signal be free/libre, but I have no news on how far we got since
the new priority list was published, no official statement saying that
all the problems pointed by the item in the High Priority list have been
solved, and there is no entry about Signal in the Free Software
Directory ([[https://directory.fsf.org/wiki/Signal]]).

Optionally, one awesome thing to have would be GNU Ring and Signal using
the same distributed communication. :)
