I just came across this article:
http://linux.slashdot.org/story/11/03/26/0010258/100-Libre-Trisquel-45-STS-Slaine-Released
Unfortunately, it isn't written very well, so most of the people who added comments had no idea what Trisquel is. Maybe fellow Slashdotters can add comments to explain things (I added one myself).

Yes, that was my bad. I shouldn't have submitted it so late. But I wanted to get it in as close to release and as soon as possible. Most of it is just edited version of the release announcement. I have been commenting as well.

Slashdot (and Digg and Reddit as well) have a rather large swarm of anti-FSF type troll posters. It's not at all software-freedom-friendly as one might think.

I've noticed that even the moderate "open source" people show their flagrantly anti-freedom true colors sometimes. They're cheerleaders for free software when it is on a par with the non-free competition, but not when it involves making some sort of sacrifice of convenience for the sake of freedom. Choosing Gnash over Adobe Flash even though it has has spotty performance and can't play SWF 10 is a "sacrifice", and some of them would ridicule a person for making such a choice.
