Small problem regarding "Monitor Preferences"

I was playing with "Monitor Preferences" as a noob to test how it'd look with my monitor. After pressing on "200%" and restoring it back to "100%" my desktop icons are gone, plus I can't do right click on the desktop screen to add files or change settings, or select anything with left click (any mouse functionality when clicking on the desktop screen).
You may have found a bug, but is best to explain which environment your computer is running. With Trisquel 11.0 there are multiple versions, like I run KDE which I got from Triskel while others prefer MATE.
I tried testing what you are suggesting under Triskel, and there is an option to zoom called "Global Scale" under Display Configuration, but not "Monitor Preferences". It seems to work for me when I return it back to normal.
I was using the MATE DE, Monitor Preferences is the name of the interface that appears after clicking on the trisquel logo > "Preferences" > "Hardware" > "Displays". I had to reinstall Trisquel :-/

I am not sure about what happened exactly, but if you right click on the MATE panel, there is an option "reset all dashboards" (it might not be that in English, my environment is not in English, I am translating back) that might reset to the original settings. In case you encounter the same issue again, you could try this first (simpler than re-installing).
Yeah, I reset those preferences through the CLI and TWEAK and that did not work either.
