Suggestions for Low Profile Wifi Dongle?

Greetings all! I currently use a TP-LINK TL-WN722N usb wifi dongle and am looking to replace it with some thing very low-profile. My current one sticks out about 3 inches and would like to have something I can just leave in my laptop and forget about it. I don't know if this matters but I use a Thinkpad W541.
I have tried a couple of low profile dongles already and could not get them to work, so if anyone has experience with one, Id appreciate the info.
Thanks.

Here is the lowest profile dongle I've had luck with:

It's really a very good quality piece of equipment too and works "out-of-the-box" with any GNU/Linux distribution I've tried.
Tehnoetic sells the same Wifi adapter (guaranteed to work with Linux-libre): https://tehnoetic.com/tehnoetic-wireless-adapter-gnu-linux-libre-tet-n150
Thanks all. I just purchased the Think Penguin one - cheaper than Magic Banana's suggestion. If anyone knows of an even lower profile one, that would be awesome though :) I'd buy that one too.
UPDATE: I got the Think Penguin wifi dongle. I plug it in, and it *just works* ... I love it.
There is always the possibility to go with an internal adapter but if your machine has a wifi whitelist it might not be possible.
Im using a Lenovo Thinkpad W541 that i bought custom installed with Trisquel. They disabled teh internal wifi on it because it requires non-free software. I thought of opening the laptop up and finding the USB header and just putting the dongle inside the laptop, taping it on something :) Crude, but something I may do. Right now, i'm pretty happy with the profile of the dongle though. Seems to be less than 1 inch. My previous one was enormous.
