I got a membership to FSF but the card I got has trisquel. Is it any different than the official version?
You got a live image of Trisquel 9.0, which is currently the latest release (and recommended version) of Trisquel: https://www.fsf.org/associate/card.
If you want to know exactly what you are getting, you should check the card creation scripts: https://www.fsf.org/associate/source/2020-cards-trisquel-9.0.
Historically the cards have had differently-branded screens, audio/video files and other documents added, and more.
still, it's cool to see a card-sized USB flash drive, looks flimsy so I better be careful about using it multiple times. On the plus side it does work on my ASUS PC with Nvidia hardware, though I have to make modifications to grub. Yay for free software
I wonder if it's possible to download the FSF iso somewhere. The Jenkins repository mentioned in the script is not found.
Older ISOs are here.
The script clearly states: "WARNING!: This script can bite your dog." And possibly eat your repo.
Everyone please keep your repos, pets, fresh food away from this thread. We have yet another monster script on the loose.
I was mainly interested in the extras, such as the GNUAV folder.
I uploaded the fsf directory (extracted from the T7 FSF ISO) here:
That's nice.
The script I was referring to seems to update the extras with the Libre Planet 2020 talks. And renames the LP 2016 Snowden video. I guess the other 2016 talks were already added in the Trisquel 8 extras.
EDIT: Alternatively, there is https://media.libreplanet.org. And of course, it happens in fact every year, so there is plenty of great food for script thought.
