Trisquel 11 update: cosmetic: buttons off screen

I had to have two tries at upgrading to Trisquel 11 and have now succeeded.

On the first go, in the main update window:

- I expanded the terminal triangle
-- the window expanded (which is correct)

- later, I found that the "Cancel" and "Update" buttons were mostly off the screen

- I contracted the terminal
-- the window did not contract (which is arguably incorrect)

- I failed to resize the window because it was not resizable

- I selected Cancel by mistake, because I could not read the writing

Please may we have either reliable contraction, or resizability.

I have no other machine to upgrade, so I cannot test fixes.

Machine: Lenovo X200; display size: 1280x800 pixels

For context, something in the chain to ~/.xsession-errors complains about the non-resizability:
