Notes:
* The image is a 3820x1200px transparent png, so it works in any resolution up to dual fullhd screens.
* Being transparent, the color is chosen by the user in the background settings.
* All four colors will be included as an example.
* The default color will probably be the blue one.
* The final image will be a little more transparent than the one in the captures, to make it less intense.

I've thrown together a rebranded USB startup creator icon from public domain clip art and the official triskelion. Here is the file:

The USB startup creator icon looks nice but i think it doesn't looks well in small size. Maybe Trisquel logo and the arrow being smaller...
By the way, i like new backgrounds (mainly the blue one), but think they'll look nicer with less and softer Trisquel logos (at least the small ones).

I have of course tried the logo in small size, and it looks good. This is highly subjective, I know, but it looks suitable to my eyes.
Nevertheless, I've taken your critique into account and slightly modified the icon to make the size of the Trisquel symbol as large as possible. Here is the URL:
