APRIL FOOLS!!
No, seriously! After 12 days there is finally some activity. At least a Release Candidate should be released at night.

I just downloaded and tested those images and can say that the 1st image is
an april fools joke called "LindowsOS" and the 2nd image does not want to
boot up.

I see that Elementary GTK 3.0 theme was released too and would be nice to see
if the Trisquel team finds the updates useful:

5.5 Trisquel is version lts ?
No, it's still an sts release. 6.0 should be the next lts version.
As far as I know, Trisquel 5.5 is based on the packages of Ubuntu 11.10 which is an STS version; so, for the LTS you'll have to wait for the 6.0 which will be based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and will probably be released around september around Software Freedom Day.

Trisquel 5.5 "Brigantia" is based on Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" which is a Short-Term Support release. Trisquel 6.0 will be based on Ubuntu 12.04 "Precise Pangolin" which will be a Long-Term Support release and is currently in development now. Every new Trisquel release is expected to be released around 5 months after upstreams. Bear in mind that these are not the final images and are experimental, so expect bugs.

I've the same problem.. :(
There is a new image.
Thanks for the info, downloading it now!
I tested this new build and can confirm that it work now! The only difference
I found so far is the inclusion of a software called GNOME PPP.

I downloaded and tested. The Evolution bug has been fixed. It has changed the login manager back to GDM. One bug is that Log Out does not really logs you out but falls back to gdm with your account active. When you add icons to the desktop they don't show up on desktop itself but they are in the folder. And there is no screensaver option in control center.

This theme wont work nicely with Trisquel becaus it needs newer versions of gtk and/or unico engine. There'll be pink blotches all over :P
