There are many fully free distros.
P. S. Old screenshot: https://www.gnu.org/distros/screenshot.html

Probably no particular reason. The screenshot was updated and they happened to choose GNewSense instead of Trisquel.

I think the real question is: why on Earth are they still listing BLAG and Ututo when these are both clearly dead projects? I get that they're trying not to judge projects on technical merit, but come on, there's got to be some kind of standard.

The idea is to rotate the picture every now and again. Ideally to make a gallery of screenshots showing off different distros. Also to feature a distro on the front page "for a while" when they make a new release.

I agree with jxself. FSF does not discriminate between free software distributions and treats them all equally. As such, it is appreciable to update the screenshot when any one of the enlisted distro makes a new release. I appeal all to write to FSF, once Trisquel 8 is released so that we can get this wonderful distro there again.

Ideally to make a gallery of screenshots showing off different distros.

Sorry, but I don't see any gallery of old screenshots in gnu.org. Can you show me where did you found this information?

[UPDATE]
I just tested gNewSense 4.0 today. Seems its based on Debian Wheezy 7.2 (Someone correct me, if I am wrong.) and many software are old as compared to Trisquel 7.0. But overall, it is extremely stable (no crash or lag.) and fully support my Intel GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller.

They (Sam Geeraerts, K.Goetz, Brian Brazil and Paul O'Malley) are doing a wonderful job!

"Sorry, but I don't see any gallery of old screenshots in gnu.org."

That's because it's not made yet. I was trying to let SalmanMohammadi and others know all that was planned.

"Can you show me where did you found this information?"

I got it from myself: https://www.gnu.org/people/webmeisters.en.html

Oh, got it. So you are GNU Chief Webmaster...!

Sounds interesting. Is there anything I can help with?

Sure, there are always things that need doing on gnu.org. Here are some: https://www.gnu.org/server/tasks.en.html but really there are lots more too. If you want to volunteer to work on the site fill out the quiz: https://www.gnu.org/server/standards/webmaster-quiz.html

Says the guy who announces dozens of projects, yet finishes (read: starts working on) none.
