Hi,
I can't change my non-GNU hardware (macintosh stuff) now because I set up to work for Graphics.
So to use Trisquel I use alternatives like virtualbox on my os.
My problem is simple : my screen's resolution of trisquel on virtualbox isn't a full screen resolution, only 1024x768.
How I can increase resolution to 1920x1440 ?
Thank you for answer
i belive there is a option that will stretch the display to fit the screen in virutalbox
but i dont know if you can increase the resoulution
you must relise that using non-libre software
software to run a virutal machine with trisquel dose not
increase your privacy and definitly dosent increase controll
you have over your computer
the files that are used to store the virutal machine data
are still controlled by the host operating system osx and apple and a goverment could acsess them if they wanted too
using a vm to run trisquel dosent improve the bad operating system your running
it is possible though to run trisquel as the main os on macs
here is a post about it:
https://trisquel.info/en/forum/installing-trisquel-mac
but my advice would be to sell your mac and buy a libre friendly computer you can get good ones here:
http://libre.thinkpenguin.com
but if your mac has gone down in value and you need somthing cheaper the good news is libre software tends to work well with old computers and if anything dosent work like wifi etc then you can get a usb libre wifi card form here:
http://libre.thinkpenguin.com
i recently got a good pentium4 machine for £24
btw i dont work for think penguin there are many other libre hardware distributors:

also you can find hardware reported to work with libre software here:
https://www.h-node.org/
It is possible to edit `/etc/default/grub`, change the `GRUB_GFXMODE` variable, use `sudo update-grub2` then reboot. However, the GFX mode must be available, and strange resolutions are rarely available.
