Unable to load firmware

Last post from me today...

When starting trisquel 11 I get this message before logging in:

[6.606949] 0000:02:00.0: Missing Free firmware (non-Free firmware loading disabled)
[6.607988] r8169 0000:02:00.0 Unable to load firmware /*(DEBLOBBED)*/ (-2)

Any ideas what it means?

As you may already know Trisquel, unlike Ubuntu, doesn't include any binary blobs. This post has a good answer to your question. You can get more information by `dmesg` command to see what firmware is missing.

r8169 is your ethernet adapter. It's a normal message that gets printed. It means you're using 100% free software and there's nothing to worry about! :)
