Hi all.

I am using version 7 of trisquel, but found that after installing
enigmail that GNU PGP is using 1.4.6 which is out of date and enigmail
is telling me that I need to update gnu pgp before I can use it.

Does anyone here know how to do this? Thanks.

Matthew

GnuPG 2 is available in the "gnupg2" package. You can install it from Synaptic (in System Settings).

Another thing you might want to do is actually install the version of Enigmail available in Trisquel's repository, rather than installing it through IceDove the normal way. The package is "enigmail". Not hugely important, but it's a bit more convenient when it comes to things like upgrades.

In the enigmail preferences > Basic (tab) , File and Directories
section, check "Override with" and add /usr/bin/gpg2 in the empty field.

Also you may need to install the package "gnupg2" I don't remember if
it comes installed by default with Trisquel.

, Hi,

All seems to be well. I just told it to over ride with a empty pgp
fiile as someone recommended and my key is now being generated. Thanks.

Matthew.
