Hi, I am using Trisquel Mini on an X200 Tablet. How can I use the touchscreen? Do I need to install or configure some software to do so? I believe the X200 Tablet uses a Wacom device. Thanks.

First, I'd like to install and run xinput to see whether the input device(s) is(are) detected. If yes, follow said link to modify the configuration file. You can also optionally enable or disable input device(s) using xinput.
I routinely use Debian (without non-free firmware or non-free repository enabled) on tablets including X200t and never experienced said problem. Maybe this problem occurs only in Ubuntu and any distribution based on it.
Okay, cool. So, I ran `xsetwacom --list devices` and `xinput` and they both produced results that looked correct.
I then tried my stylus and it worked in a paint program.
But I noticed that when the stylus gets close to the screen, it starts picking up input.. is there a way to change this to only pick up input when the stylus is actually touching the screen? Anyone know of some configuration settings like this?
