Very basic: How to actually instal Radeon Kernel ?

Thanks Jason/jxself & Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli for info on a patched kernel for radeon. It would be great to get my screen resolution working properly.

I have downloaded the kernel & key, but I really don't know how to instal it? I'm not always online & I'm assuming I can instal offline.

I've looked at jxself.org & pasted "/etc/apt/sources.list" into my terminal to no avail (?)

Can someone point me in the right direction or give me very basic ABC instructions on how to instal a new kernel/package please.

I'm not running the latest Trisquel, but last stable release.

I realise this is way below all of you, but any help appreciated,

-You forgot to add jx' key, just downloaded it
-Is your architecture 32/64 bit?
-You seem to be missing the toutatis-updates repo, you need to edit your /etc/apt/sources.list as super user. There might already be a line that's commented out (starting with a #) if so remove the # or if not, add e.g. deb http://nl.archive.trisquel.info/trisquel/ toutatis-updates main
